Our client is one of Europe's leading service providers and they have an opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic, graduate calibre procurement professional to join them as a Procurement Specialist.
Reporting into the Head of Group IT and Head Office Procurement, you will utilise your procurement knowledge to influence Head Office indirects spend across 2 UK sites.
This is a great opportunity to learn and develop your procurement skills, supporting the Head of Head Office Procurement with strategic sourcing as well as ensuring that procurement administrative processes are in place. You must be happy to do both strategic and tactical procurement work!
What will you be doing?
• Influencing a UK spend of GBP50m across a broad range of indirect categories including HR Services, Facilities Management, Professional Services, Office Supplies, Car Fleet and Travel
• Support your line manager with strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract management but have ownership of low value/low risk tenders yourself
• Support a range of different procurement projects from recruitment PSL tender to management of travel services provider
• Influence stakeholders across multiple sites
• Responsibility for the Contracts register and management of Head Office contracts, ensuring contract have the correct approval level
• Analyse spend data for Head Office spend
• Help manage the procurement project pipeline and identify opportunities to drive value from supplier relationships
• Raise the profile of Procurement and procurement policy, by ensuring stakeholders have good understanding and the correct toolkit
• Managing procurement policy and ensuring right people have right toolkit
Skills and experience required:
• At least 18 months' procurement experience, gained in a complex organisation, with some experience in Indirect procurement
• Knowledge of procurement principles, tendering, contract and supplier management
• A clear communicator who can demonstrate influencing
• Flexible to deliver strategic and transactional/administrative procurement duties
• Enthusiastic, confident and excited to learn
• Graduate calibre
