We are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to be based out of our Hereford Factory.
Join us as a Class 1 Driver and you can be a part of the aspiring team that brings Avara Foods to life.
Purpose of the role
As a member of the Primary Transport team, you will be based at our Hereford operation. You will be responsible for ensuring poultry is collected and delivered to the factories in line with bird welfare.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Collecting poultry from farms and delivering to Hereford and Newent sites.
Compliance to bird welfare regulations.
Responsible for checking loads, completing paperwork and general hygiene of lorries.What we are looking for:
Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
Hold a LGV Class 1 Driving Licence and be CPC trained
Experience of working as part of a team of drivers
Effective communication skills
Basic level of Numeracy and Literacy
Ability to carry out manual tasksHours: (Apply online only) (Job & Finish) Sun-Thu / Mon-Fri Rotating
Hourly Rate: GBP12.33 per hour.
Due to bird welfare it is important that you do not possess any avian pets or poultry.
