Salary: cGBP50K dependent upon experience

The role: Operations Manager - Manufacturing
Our client is a leading manufacturer and developer of fire detection and alarm systems based in the West Midlands. They have recently created a state-of-the-art product using wireless technologies which is due to be put into production in early 2021 and therefore this is a very exciting time to join the business!
The role of the Operations Manager will be to ensure the business operates and grows within the mission statement and delivers the highest possible standard at all times.
Key Responsibilities: Operations Manager - Manufacturing
Reporting into the directors of the business, the Operations Manager will lead the production of all product lines with continuous improvement at the forefront of all activities. You will:
Lead the day-to-day management of the production team and operations
Manage up and down the line. Stakeholder engagement is a significant aspect of role and therefore a possessing dynamic character is vital
To ensure compliance requirements and regulations in production, are fully adhered to
To oversee quality control of process and product including traceability
Overall management of Factory Production Control (FPC)
Experience Required: Operations Manager - Manufacturing
Aside from your excellent management skills, you will:
Hold a full understanding of, and experience in, the implementation of compliance, quality and OHS
You will be NEBOSH qualified and hold a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
You will have experience of building, leading, and developing teams in a complex/changing environment
Knowledge of electronic and components is essential
You will have experience ensuring all legal and regulatory tasks / documents are fully implemented and completed
You will have a track record in designing and implementing new business efficiencies including reducing waste and manufacturing costs
Good understanding of finance, budgeting, and cash-flow management
If you have a background within the production and manufacturing of electronics and components as an Operations Manager, Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Head of Operations, or similar are all invited to apply for this exciting opportunity
