Commercial Finance Accountant/Analyst
Remote based, with periodic Glasgow office meetings
Permanent, full-time position
Salary of up to GBP42.5k depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits
McCurrach is a successful, award-winning business that is now looking for an experienced commercial finance professional to join the team in a key role, with the opportunity to add value and influence across the business.
What you will be doing?
You will be working directly with client and business development teams to support pricing and commercial decision making. A crucial role spanning the McCurrach Group, it is central to all that is happening commercially as we drive to grow the business. The successful individual will have a talent for both analysis and for collaborative working.
* Supporting the end-to-end pricing processes for our client and business development teams
* Identifying input costs & resources
* Developing complex models to build optimal pricing
* Maintenance of client profitability analysis, delivering operational analysis and recommendations to support business margin improvement
* Supporting business development teams with pricing strategies and commercial models for new products and services
* Closing data gaps in key areas by improving processes and data collection
* Continuously improving analytics and models to simplify pricing for internal teams
* Assisting/leading projects within Finance and wider business as required
Do you have what it takes?
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
* A qualified accountant with at least 2 years' experience in a commercial environment
* Experience of managing cost and pricing models would be an advantage
* Confident and energetic with a proven track record of identifying and leading the execution of business improvement initiatives
* Advanced analytics skills, in particular with Excel, PowerBI - where identifying, creating, modelling complex and robust pricing models and scenarios is essential
* Ability to articulate, draw conclusions and make recommendations from large data sets
* Exceptional attention to detail but also demonstration of stepping back and assessing bigger picture
