ABOUT THE ROLE:

Managing a team of c.11, you will report directly to the Site Technical Manager. You will manage the quality function for our processing & packing operations at our site, thereby improving standards and quality management on site. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of not only the finished product but the production process, factory environment, adhering to GMP standards and enforcing the site's food safety and hygiene policies. You will manage the adherence to the customer specifications, legislation and business requirements. You will ensure achievement against customer and internal audits relating to a QA matters, QA staff are adequately skilled and look to implement improved methods of working focused around reducing compliance and quality failures. Work closely with the operations team to drive & influence change.

?? Degree in Food Science or Food Technology (desirable)

?? Experience of working as a manager within a quality team

?? Experience of dealing with 2nd and 3rd party standards (BRC / Red tractor)

?? Understanding of current legislation

?? Track record of delivering continuous improvements

?? Able to effectively manage your time

?? Strong communication skills both verbal and written

?? Able to motivate others
