Trust Care Management are recruiting for an experienced Activities Co-ordinator at our new fifty bed flagship Nursing Home in Wolverhampton.
The home consists of three floors, including a specialist dementia unit, incorporating the nursing care needs of the elderly and frail and those senior citizen who need specialist support and care at the end of life.
The home is based within a ten minutes' drive of Wolverhampton rail station and 23 minutes on public transport.

We are offering:
* Permanent Contract - 36 hours per week over five days, every other weekend required.
* Competitive salary: GBP8.72 per hour

Responsibilities & Experience Required:
* You will need to be proactive, responsive and be able to work on your own initiative
* Being a highly organised individual and having strong time management skills are essential for this role
* Organising activities to meet and support the physical, social and emotional needs of service users in order to enhance their quality of life
* Arranging appropriate external entertainment programmes for service users
* Drawing up an activities programme/timetable for display in the Home and encouraging service users to participate in activities
* Seeking the views of service users/relevant representatives regarding their preferred activities/social events
* To research appropriate materials/games/venues/ equipment for the Home's activities store
* To maintain appropriate records of service users activities and liaise with the Manager regarding entries in the service users Care Plan
* To provide suitable exercise programmes for service users in order to maintain their mobility
* To promote a positive image of the home and service by maintaining a professional approach at all times, in order to develop community awareness of the home and services.
