Engineering repairs technician required for a large manufacturer in Dundee

Our client, a large pharma manufacturer based in Dundee is looking for the services of a permanent Engineering Repair Technician to be based on site. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:-

Duties

- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance as per the company's service manuals, procedures and work instructions
- Perform repairs and rectification work as per the company's service manuals, procedures and work instructions to ensure equipment is functioning to specification whilst adhering to any specific Service Level Agreements.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders in respect of utilising the company and other devices, ensuring they are utilised to their full specification.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the company's products and solutions.
- Increase and maintain knowledge on new products and devices in terms of functionality, repair, implementation and utilisation. Ensure all relevant training modules are performed and registrations are maintained.
- Regularly attend the company's technical training courses
- Carry out any ad-hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by your Manager or for Business needs.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant Policies and Procedures and internal standards
- Ensure the Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems achieve their desired results

Qualifications

- Minimum ONC or similar in an Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering background preferred with experience of operating in an engineering service role.
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship would be desirable
- A knowledge of connectivity and networking of PC based systems would also be advantageous to the position - Experience of operating in an ISO13485 and 9001 regulated environments

- Risk Awareness and attention to detail
- IT Skills with the ability to use Microsoft office at a proficient level
- Commercial awareness
- Technical Skills Excellent electronic engineering knowledge and IT/ networking knowledge, with strong engineering skills
- IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite
