Based in Farnborough, Hampshire
12 month FTC
Full time - Monday - Friday
GBP18-GBP20k per annum
Role Profile - Technical Administrator (FTC) For over 50 years, our client has provided mission critical systems to detect, measure and analyse radiation to protect people, property and the environment. They are a global business, powered by local geographical presence throughout Europe, Asia and the USA. This position is based in Farnborough and belongs to the Detection & Measurement Division reporting to the Projects & Design Team Manager. This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract and will be predominantly office based.
Role definition - To provide clerical support to technical areas of the organisation.
Purpose of the role - The purpose of the role is to provide administrative and coordination support for the Projects and Design department. Main duties will include validation and distribution of Engineering documentation into production, coordination and control of Design Change Requests, and formatting of Engineering test procedures and manuals.
Key Responsibilities
• Printing of drawings/manuals/test procedures in support of Production
• Administration of Design Change Requests (DCR's)
• Formatting and compiling documentation
• Printing of drawings for customers in support of Project/Sales/Design
• Responsibility for Print room archives
• Assisting with documents for Sales, Project and Purchasing departments
• Creating silkscreen artworks (InDesign)
• General filing and photocopying
• Monitoring stationery stock and raising of purchase order/s as necessary
• Recording of departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
• Support staff training to ensure there is no single point failures
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as necessary
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
• Good administration skills - ideally within a manufacturing, engineering or technical business but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills
• Competent IT user; Word to intermediate level, Excel at a basic level and Outlook
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
Desirable
• Suitable Technical Training/Experience
• Engineering awareness/background
• Change control administration/coordination experience
• Experience in using Autocad and Solidworks for printing of engineering drawings
• Experience of using InDesign
