Learning Support Assistant - Work Skills based in Gobowen, Oswestry, Shropshire offering a salary of GBP18,000 to GBP20,000 depending on experience.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant - Work Skills. You will be supporting the planning and delivery of a bespoke curriculum to learners who require positive behaviour support to access their chosen pathway. ???

Key Role Specific Responsibilities:

Supporting pathway area team with aspects of positive behaviour support in line with agreed cross college low arousal approach.

Development of bespoke strategies and resources to support individuals with specific behavioural needs.

Planning and supporting the delivery of vocational / subject specific curriculum including embedded functional skills with a focus on behavioural support.

Supporting the delivery of accreditation where appropriate.

Assisting students to access work experience opportunities.

Contribution to the provision and promotion of relevant IAG for student groups.

Supporting the baseline and ongoing assessment of students.

Contribution to administration work e.g. assessment reports, learning plans, progress reporting and RARPA achievements.

Development and use of appropriate and stimulating teaching resources including ICT.

Contribution to quality assurance of all aspects of Programme Area including involvement in Self -Assessment, Quality Improvement and compliance audits.

Personal tutor role.

Any other duties as reasonably requested

Person Specification:

LSA qualification / Experience of working with learners with behaviours of concern.

Competent in the use of MS office with good general computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software quickly.

Proven success of working within a similar role.

Knowledge of Ofsted framework / external quality standards.

Knowledge of Accreditation and RARPA.

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects.

Outstanding communication skills with individuals/staff at all levels.

Highly motivated individual.

Excellent team work skills.
