We are looking for an experienced supply chain / purchasing manager to ensure our purchasing and supply chain operations function properly.
In this role, reporting to the Manufacturing Departmental Manager, you'll collaborate with other departments, such as Sales, Technical and Finance, to ensure optimised material supply, so teamwork skills are important. You should also have experience in sub-contractor management, as well as great communication ability.

Responsibilities
Create the company's supply chain strategy
Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals.
Ensure the timely and cost effective supply of raw materials.
Analyse data from delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues, and devise ways of reducing lead times from suppliers.
Evaluate, devise and report on KPIs .
Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
Train and guide employees.
Collaborate with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth.
Develop and implement safety guidelines.
Ensure supply chain and purchasing processes meet legal requirements and standards.
5 + years' experience as a supply chain / purchasing / subcontract manager.
5 + years' experience of ERP software (EFACS preferred).
Strong communication and negotiating skills.
A strategic and analytical mind.
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Studies, Logistics, or similar field.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
SQL Report Writing Skills would be desirable.
Knowledge of Workers Coops desirable but not essential.
