Production Manager

WE ARE: LOOKING TO RECRUIT A PRODUCTION MANAGER

Spectra Packaging is a leading manufacturer of plastic bottles and closures.

As Production Manager your role will be to manage the staff in the moulding department and to facilitate the smooth running of the production process. This will involve ensuring quality levels required are maintained, address production related issues and maintain production outputs ensuring efficiency and output targets are met.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the department in terms of production, staffing, maintaining quality levels and production processes.

• Take responsibility for the quality of production and ensuring the adherence to company procedure

• Effectively manage, motivate, and develop staff within the department.

• Ensure good communication is provided to shift supervisors, verbal or written and reports.

• Ensure that health and safety rules and regulations are adhered to along with reporting and acting on issues in line with the company's health and safety policy

• Identify training needs and provide support for training as required

• Undertake a proactive role in continuous improvements

• Manage staff holidays & over time cover where required

• Monitoring of department performance
