About the Role
Our Care Workers provide a range of care and ancillary tasks to ensure the needs of older people are met in accordance with our care policies, standards and procedures. Undertaking all care at home duties, relating to the needs of older people and consistently contributing to a high quality care environment. This Care Worker role suits those looking for 17.5 Hours as guaranteed, with additional shifts available as required up to 30 hours (average is 26 hours per week). You'll be busy, on your feet and fully engaged with the lives of our customers, supporting the team and you'll soon feel a part of Hanover with our excellent induction to life with us.
Main Responsibilities
This important Care Worker Galashiels role is contracted on a permanent basis, and includes weekend / holiday working. This is a real opportunity for the right person to make a real difference to the lives of our customers:
* Providing a dignified, safe and stimulating service where customers are encouraged to exercise choice and to promote their independence.
* Ensuring individuals' rights and responsibilities are retained by treating them with dignity and respect.
* Contribute to the care planning process and implementation and liaison with external agencies, family members and carers.
* Participate in maintaining and updating records, both manual and electronic, to required standards in an ethical manner.
* Assistance with personal cleanliness, mobility support, management of continence, support with daily personal tasks and general housekeeping.
About You
We're looking for committed team workers who were born to care who are passionate about going above and beyond for the people within their responsibility.To join us, you need to have a genuine passion for helping people.
* Demonstrable experience of empathising with and caring for the elderly.
* Ideally, SVQ Level in Health and Social care or willing to work towards obtaining.
* Resilient, proactive, self-confident and customer-orientated.
* PVG is required for this role.
