Public Sector Consultancy Sales (Technology and Change)
London or Brighton (min 2 days a week)
GBP35-50K basic salary (GBP125K 2nd year OTE)
William Alexander Consulting is a specialist Technology and Business Transformation consultancy, providing high quality, outcome based Professional Services to a variety of private and public sector organisations across the UK.
William Alexander has an established client base in the private sector, especially within Financial Services. We have recently made the decision to target the public sector and have successfully tendered for the DOS4/5, GCloud12 and Bloom procurement frameworks and won our first public sector engagement with a major central government client.
This is a new role and your responsibility will be to use this platform to successfully grow our public sector client base by developing and maintaining new relationships with central government and other public sector bodies.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Researching and identifying new target client prospects
- Contacting new client prospects (including cold calling)
- Following up on sales leads
- Attending client meetings
- Conducting sales presentations (online and face to face)
- Responding to bids and tenders
- Commercial negotiations
- Ongoing relationship management
Essential Skills and Experience
- Commercial consultancy or recruitment sales experience
- Commercial experience working in technology and/or change
- Previous experience selling services to the Public Sector
- Previous experience working on G-Cloud or DOS opportunities
- Successful sales track record
Desirable Skills
- Experience writing bids and tenders
- Previous technology consultancy or professional services sales experience
- Experience selling services to central government clients
