About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Building Services Authorising Engineer to join a small but dedicated team of Estates professionals. You will have the opportunity to interact with other parts of the department ie design, operations and project delivery etc. This role provides you with a genuine opportunity to develop and make it your own, bearing positive influence on the site's infrastructure development.

You will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective management, operation and development of high energy reticulation systems and their associated assets at 3 STFC sites; RAL, Chilbolton Observatory and The Cosener's House Hotel.

These system types include, but are not limited to:

1. Electrical High Voltage network

2. Electrical Low Voltage network

3. Pressure systems (Including Steam and compressed air)

About you

To be considered for this role, you will be a technically competent Electrical Engineer with a wealth of experience in Switching and Management of HV and LV distribution systems. You will have experience working as a Senior Authorised Person or Authorising Engineer. You will have the ability to work effectively in high pressure situations and be a sound decision maker.
