Our Client, a leading British manufacturer of niche special purpose machinery urgently requires an experienced Service and Commissioning Engineer to join their International team. They are renowned for their high quality British design and manufacturing techniques, whilst also providing the best customer service in the industry.
To be considered for this new role, the successful Commissioning Engineer will be an experienced, multi-skilled Service Engineer, qualified to HNC/HND level, possessing experience of fault-finding Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic & Electrical equipment and systems. Conversant with PLC controls is essential (Mitsubishi, Siemens or AB), having the ability to monitor and change programs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Commissioning and Service of automated machinery worldwide
* Complete both factory and site acceptence testing
* Assisting with development of the product line, with continuous improvement and innovation
* Providing remote technical support
As this role requires visiting customer premises to Commission and Service equipment, both in the UK and Worldwide, you are required to hold a valid Passport and full Driving Licence. Each commissioning trip is usually between 1 - 3 weeks and on average you will spend 50% of your time Overseas. When not on-site, you will visit their manufacturing plant in the East for training and providing technical support and testing duties.
It is important that you are able to work on your own initiative, in a professional manner, both autonomously or as part of a team.
