Location: Yate ( remote working for the foreseeable future)
Contract length: 3 months rolling
Salary: GBP359 per day
About the Role:
As an optimiser you will Plan, implement and optimise new and existing 2G, 3G,4G & 5G sites to defined/agreed milestones and network quality targets minimising cost and maximising revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan, implement and optimise new and existing 2G, 3G,4G & 5G sites to defined/agreed milestones and network quality targets minimising cost and maximising revenue.
* Undertake pro-active radio network investigations & support wide-area projects.
* Should be a self-starter but also able to work as part of a high performance team.
* Excellent communications skills with concise & accurate reporting.
2G, 3G,4G & 5G Cell Planning
* To plan new radio sites to meet rollout & regional KPIs.
* To manage key regional tasks in the delivery of the rollout.
* To survey and visit sites as required. To attend MSV's with Radio Planner as required.
2G, 3G,4G & 5G Optimisation
* Responsibility for the delivery of a high quality radio network to meet regional KPIs.
* Produce radio optimisation plans to achieve quality targets for areas of ownership.
* Responsible for the delivery of the quality element to the area plan.
Frequency, Scrambling Code & PCI planning
* Produce plans that allow network expansion, minimising the impact to radio network quality.
* Responsible for the quality & co-ordination of wide area plans and their timely delivery.
Capacity planning
* Responsible for the management of radio capacity within the area of ownership.
* Produce effective plans to achieve cost effective capacity increases or if appropriate, capacity reductions.
* Produce effective plans to achieve regional radio capacity and utilisation targets.
To be considered:
1. Be able to demonstrate experience of planning and optimising cellular radio systems.
2. Sound understanding of the air interface parameters, propagation models, antenna systems, frequency planning and optimisation techniques.
3. Analyse complex data, draw meaningful conclusions and understand commercial impact.
4. Effective communication skills both within the team and externally.
5. Self-motivated with the ability to lead and motivate others.
6. Use initiative and work effectively with extended teams.
7. High levels of computer literacy including all MS office applications.
8. Excellent communications skills with concise & accurate reporting.
9. Fully competent in the use of all appropriate radio planning & optimisation tools.
