Permanent Teaching Assistant and Holiday Club Play Worker

Teaching Assistant 30.42 hours per week Term Time (Grade C) 39 weeks a year

Hours: Monday - Friday 7.40am – 3.30pm

Grade C £19,312 - £20,092 (actual salary £13,692 - £14,245)

Play Worker in our holiday club 45 hours per week for 7 weeks of our school holidays (Grade A)   Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am – 5.30pm

Grade A £17,842 - £18,198 (actual salary £3,430 - £3,499)

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to become a member of our friendly and supportive school team. This role will include working in a Key Stage 2 class supporting the needs of all children as well as delivering learning to small groups of children.  The role also includes being a Play Worker in our holiday club (Lighthouse Club) to provide wraparound care for our families in the school holidays.

• is enthusiastic, hardworking and a creative practitioner;
• has understanding and experience of working with children;
• has understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum;
• has experience of delivering group work;
• has good basic English, Maths and ICT skills;
• is caring and has confidence working with children;
• enjoys working with children;
• liaises with parents where necessary;
• is able to develop positive behaviour strategies;
• can work as part of a team and contribute to its development;
• can offer particular areas of interest to support extra-curricular clubs.
