Overview of the Mechatronics Design Engineer position -
Work alongside other staff within the design team on the development of existing designs, to enhance the overall quality of components and reduce costs.
Help to create new products including machinery, sub-assemblies, tooling, jigs and fixtures.
Use 3D CAD modelling software to produce drawings of manufactured components and castings.
Prepare BOM (bills of materials) documentation for manufacturing and assemblies.Desirable skills/experience/attributes -
Experience working within a similar role (mechanical/mechatronics)
Ability to read technical drawings and use 3D Design software.
Good understanding of CNC or bespoke machinery, sub-assemblies, tooling, fixtures.
Well organised and proactive work ethic.
HNC, HND or relevant education within mechanical engineering.Benefits include -
