Junior Software Developer - SQL Server, HTML, C#, JavaScript, .Net

A rare and exciting opportunity has opened for a Junior Software Developer to join a dynamic and experienced team working for a global music leader within the Media and Entertainment industry. As the Junior Software Developer, you will help to create and maintain new methodologies to discover and remove infringing music content online, using crawling and website scraping tools. You will already possess a range of software tools, demonstrate being a team player who likes to share and bounce ideas with your colleagues, as well as having a strategic and analytical approach to problem solving.

Day to day duties will include:

• Have a good understanding of working with website associated languages such as HTTP(S), HTML, CSS etc, as well as network and Internet technologies
• Work alongside the team to understand digital piracy and content protection supporting technologies
• Communicating your findings and ideas with the team and management
• Proactively working on cross functional projects, taking accountability for your work

Skills Requirements:

• Ideally degree educated within Engineering or a similar discipline
• 1-2 year's commercial experience in a similar role
• Experience working with C#, .JavaScript, NET standard and core
• Good understanding and experience working with website and web-services such as MVC, Winforms, Entity Framework and MS SQL server
• Fantastic verbal and written communication skills
• Passionate about Music and the Industry

• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services or Docker
• Exposure Scripting in Python, Node JS and browser emulation
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence or Github
