About the Role
As the new Junior Data Analyst, you will work closely with the Senior Data Analyst and Data Analytics Manager in delivering Data Analytic engagements across the UK. You will be supporting the Consulting and Assurance teams with a range of clients from the Banking, Financial and Corporate sectors.
About You
The Junior Data Analyst must understand client requirements, ensure stakeholders are engaged and informed and that the work is delivered to the highest technical standards. You will process structured and unstructured data to automate business processes and provide meaningful insights. Building long term relationships is of paramount importance and you will work closely with your team to develop new data driven solutions and identify and transform new opportunities for work.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Experience within a consulting environment is desirable
Desire to grow and contribute to data analytics practice;
Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, challenge the status quo and deliver work effectively;
Analytical skills; the ability to think critically, research and solve problems;
Affinity with our values; in particular, respect for individuals, diversity and integrity;
A willingness to travel (Presently, due to the ongoing pandemic all work is conducted remotely by working from home. Safety of employees is of paramount importance to us. Only when things get back to normal, we anticipate travel to office/client locations, as required)
Mandatory Technical skills:
Minimum 2 years of industry experience;
Ability to independently write complex SQL/T-SQL queries;
Experience in design and development of databases in MS SQL Server;
Experience in using Python to read complex datasets and/or application development;
Thorough understanding of relational database design concepts and best practices;
Any experience working with data auditing tools such as ACL or IDEA; and
Some experience building packages using SSIS / SSRS
BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or any other technical field.
Desirable Technical skills:
Experience in Banking or Insurance industries;
Knowledge of Data visualization concepts using open-source technologies or tools such as power BI, Tableau, Qlik etc;
Some data engineering experience building data pipelines from various data sources;
Exposure to Machine learning or AI techniques;
Working knowledge of Data Lake & Data Warehouse;
Any experience in Big data tools and technologies;
Knowledge of design and development of azure cloud-based data solutions; and
Advanced degree or any certifications within data / cloud technologies.
