Property Loss Adjuster- Scotland

A large and highly respected loss adjusting firm is looking to hire an experienced Property Loss Adjuster covering the Scotland region in this fully home based role.

You will manage and investigate a caseload of predominantly commercial and some domestic property losses from notification through to final settlement.

Day to day duties will include site visits, assessments of loss, checking of policy liability and liaising between a network of parties such as insurers, brokers, contractors and claimants. You will deliver excellent maintenance of case files through site notes, photographs and films, telephone call records and written communication.

You will use your detailed knowledge of building structures to asses damage and make technical decisions. You will have a thorough understanding of the nature of building defects and their causes, be able to correctly diagnose defects and be able to identify the most appropriate remedial action. You will be approved to make key decisions within your technical authority limit.

To be considered you must have experience of working in a field based Loss Adjusting position ideally with exposure to both commercial and domestic losses. You will ideally be either qualified (CILA or above) or working toward being qualified.
