Job: Senior / Estimator - Agricultural
Boyd Recruitment are currently recruiting for an independently owned contractor that specialise in Agricultural Construction. Our client own and run several construction businesses, one of which is a successful Agricultural design and build contractor.
They have supplied and erected some of the most prestigious farming buildings in Scotland. Their projects vary from small extensions to large multi-million-pound farming operations.
Our client offers a one stop shop to clients, they have in house design, draughting & manage the full installation and fit-out.
The Job
• You will be responsible for the estimation and pricing of all agricultural projects within the business. Part of the role will be to discuss the project and requirements at the pre-tender stage as required.
• You will have previous experience in the agricultural industry, understand the working environment and be able to communicate confidently with farming business owners.
• You will understand the construction environment and be able to price jobs accordingly.
• This role is key to our client, they invest in their workforce, for the correct person, this could lead to a more senior role within the business.
The Candidate
The Successful candidate will have:
• Experience of estimating agricultural and industrial projects.
• Experience using Conquest would be advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, speaking to clients, sub-contractors & suppliers.
• Some management experience.
