Lecturer: Applied Science (Pre-Approved Register)
You will contribute to building a positive learning environment which encourages active participation and enables all learners to achieve their full potential, through the effective applications of up to date learning and teaching approaches, assisting in the development of engaging, high quality teaching resources and formative and summative assessment of students.
You will support the Curriculum Manager in delivering of the department curriculum to the quality and standards required as prescribed by the relevant awarding bodies and in compliance with college policies.
You will be qualified to a minimum of B. Sc. degree level in a relevant science related discipline. A comprehensive working knowledge of whole organism and/or molecular biology theory and ability to supervise the performance of scientific experiments is desirable along with excellent motivational, communication and organizational skills. Demonstrable working knowledge of Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics and/or Statistics as well as possession of a (or working towards) TQFE or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
