The Role:
Fircroft are proudly working in partnership with specialist chemical business Lianhetech to appoint a experienced Method Development Analyst to their team.
Recruitment is due to large scale site expansion. Do you have the required skills, knowledge & experience to support the business?
Role Objectives:
To provide in-house analytical development and validation services to the Process Technology and QC departments, also external analytical technical transfer services to and from clients in support of NPI / EPD.
Generation of supporting documentation completed to the required standards.
Stewardship of the fleet of analytical instruments within the Process Technology and QC labs.
Training and Process Technology of colleagues in analytical techniques and best practice.
Key Accountabilities:
Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are met including (but not limited to) workplace organisation, work instructions, risk assessments, and control, COSHH assessments, housekeeping standards in accordance with GLP and GMP.
Provide accurate and timely analytical support as required for internal and external customers as scheduled by the Head of Analytical Development.
Work with Process Technology chemists on the analytical aspect of New Product Introduction and Existing Product Development.
Provide analytical advice to Process Technology chemists in support of process chemistry development.
Demonstrate creative thinking/problem solving ability in finding solutions to unfamiliar analytical challenges as and when they arise.
Ensure all Laboratory paperwork is completed on time and in full to the required standard.
Ensure all work complies with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) as required.
Basic maintenance of laboratory equipment including performing calibration duties as required.
Monitor and maintain stock levels of reagents and consumables for the Analytical Development group.
Generate, interpret and report on analytical data to support services and communicate this on time and in full.
Complete all QC documentation in compliance with Company procedures.
Work with QC analysts if required in support of ongoing project demand.
Provide analytical training, coaching and development to colleagues as required.
Act as coordinator between the Lianhetech laboratories and vendors/maintenance
contractors in the event of analytical equipment breakdown and repair.
Undertake any other duties of which the responsibility, skill and experience required fall
within a post holder's expected capability and commensurate with the post holder's
position in the company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Chemistry degree.
Demonstrated method development and validation experience in a fine chemical or pharmaceutical industry role.
In-depth HPLC and GC experience.
Method validation and report writing. Production of technical reports.
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Experience with hyphenated analytical techniques / working in a GMP environment /
experimental design / cleaning validation experience / experience as a trainer / experience
with best practice wrt data integrity.
