A global manufacturer and supplier of automotive components are now seeking an experienced Maintenance / Facilities Manager. This role will be granted the autonomy needed to take a strategic approach with their maintenance and facilities function in order to improve delivery across production and the building's fabric.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be tasked with managing an experienced, time-served maintenance team who work extremely well together. They now need someone to take a holistic approach to drive the department to enhance efficiencies, reduce costs and up-skill the team to be more hands on and reduce the need for outsourced assistance. There are currently six Maintenance Engineers and 2 apprentices who require management and progression from an experience man-manager.

Duties to include are;

Set SMART objectives and work performance indicators.
Work closely with senior management team to ensure any improvements made are having a positive impact on the whole manufacturing operations.
Manage inventory on spare parts and equipment.
Ensure that set resources are met to fulfil maintenance and facility functions within the operations.
Accurately update any documentation relating to maintenance, facilities or equipment.
Ensure a safety first approach is always maintained across the business.I welcome applications from candidates who hold the following skills and expertise;

Have extensive experience of maintenance and facilities management within a fast paced, varied and high volume manufacturing environment.
Proven to be able to implement system, process changes and people development to optimise the maintenance function effectively.
A core mechanical and electrical knowledge with ideally a good knowledge of PLC systems.
Mechanical and electrical experience with high volume manufacturing plant machinery.
Excellent TPM expertise and knowledge
Prepared to be "hands on" on occasions where required.
Strong understanding of preventative maintenance and able to implement maintenance plans.
Buildings and equipment legalities knowledge
