What are we looking for?

Watkins Hire is currently recruiting for a Depot Office Manager for our Lydney Depot. The main goal of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the daily operation of the depot back-office administration.

As a Depot Office Manager, you will be responsible for:

The management and day-to-day running needs of the back-office Administration (Hire desk / contracts administration / logistics / service support /purchasing / timesheets / expenses / holidays).
Overseeing the Environment, health, safety and quality compliance folders
Working hand in hand with the Workshop Manager/Supervisor to ensure depot checks are up to date.
Providing the Depot Manager with regular updates on activities within the depot.
Conducting monthly team / mentor sessions with the office / administration teams.
Completing all paperwork / reports efficiently and on time.
Ensuring all hire systems are updated and maintained
Encouraging a culture of customer service excellence.
Monitoring and maintaining a tidy and safe workplace.
Assessing and maintaining health and safety needs in the depot; lead by example with continuous improvement.
Ensuring H&S is adhered to and all records are maintained as required.
Completing all general yard documentation and ensuring paperwork is kept up to date.
To be successful in this role you will:

Have experience of running back office administration teams
Ideally have a background in temperature control (HVAC), though would consider those who have a background in (manufacturing, engineering, production)
Have good organisational skills
Be IT literate
Be able to multi-task / work within a fast paced environment
Be a natural leader with the ability to motivate teams
Be confident in implementing new processes / procedures
Have a solid understanding of Health & Safety procedures and compliance
