Senior Maintenance Engineer to lead the maintenance function for a leading manufacturing business , who during these tough times are in the process of expanding and growing to meet client demand!

Based on the outskirts of Leicester with good travel links we are looking for a multi skilled senior engineer to lead and grow a small team of engineers. This role will be split on and off the tools to develop and implement a strong PPM schedule, this role has great potential with the client giving key responsibility to "start again" and develop the maintenance team and processes in your own manor. This will include managing and planning installations, projects, all site planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding on production machinery, root cause analysis, fabrication and welding where required.

The Senior Maintenance Engineer will need to be able to work on a range of machinery, both mechanical and electrical.

Key tasks include:

Supervising the maintenance engineers.
Implementation and development of a clear PPM Schedule and Adherence to it.
Able to manually mill and turn for tooling work
Providing electrical and mechanical support
Scheduling maintenance of all machinery, including servicing, repairs, and inspections to a high standard.
Responsibility for the maintenance of all plant and equipment, both preventative and reactive.
Responsibility for fault diagnosis and rectification when breakdowns occur.
Assisting with the build of assembly machines and bottling lines.
Completing paperwork relating to the machine maintenance as required.
Welding and fabrication an advantage. Skills required:

Mechanical and electrical engineering qualifications, ideally with a mechanical bias; or time served apprenticeship
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing / production environment preferably working with high volume and bespoke products
Experience with manual milling and turning, pneumatics and PLC (basic PLC programming essential and advanced preferable) for the assembly and bottling lines.
Experience of using PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedules
Ability to diagnose faults from electrical drawings
Carry out remedial action to current standards
The desire to learn in a challenging, fast paced, engineering environment. To be considered for the role you must have -

ONC, OND, HNC/D, DEGREE and/or Served a full engineering indentured apprenticeship (qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent)
