Our client, an accountancy practice specialise in providing accounting and tax services to the Property and Construction and Healthcare sectors. They are a growing firm based in Nottingham city centre in a contemporary styled office.

They are looking for a talented person with the potential to support our clients and grow the business. It's fast paced and you'll need excellent administration and organisation skills to meet challenging deadlines while maintaining accuracy and providing excellent customer service every time. You'll need to be prepared to take ownership of your work and be adaptable to take on new challenges that the profession brings. Good problem-solving and communication skills are essential in this varied role.

As a member of the accounts team you will be involved in a wide variety of accounting services including the preparation of statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, management accounts. The role will also involve assisting the tax team, liaising with managers and clients and prioritising workload to ensure that client deadlines and needs are met. A flexible working approach is required and a willingness to assist with any accounting assignments necessary to meet client's expectations and maintain client service levels.

Duties and responsibilities

* Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts both in the office and at client's premises;

* Preparation of statutory accounts from analysis of client records to producing final accounts on Iris accounts production;

* Preparation of corporation tax computations;

* Liaising with various parts of the business, investigating and resolving queries;

* Finalising of accounts;

* Handling customer queries;

* Management of work flow;

* Project work including financial forecasts and preparation of draft valuation reports.

Person specification


?? ACA or ACCA Qualified / part Qualified;

* Ability to work under pressure and have a flexible approach to working;

* Experience in a similar role;

* Self-starter;

* Experience communicating directly with clients;

* Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines;

* Good organisation skills;

* A strong team player who can build relationships;

* Shows drive & commitment to improving knowledge & expertise;

* A good knowledge of Excel;

* Can-do attitude.


* Experience of working in general practice;

* Experience using Xero;

* Experience of using Iris accounts package.

Academic requirements

* ACA or ACCA Qualified / part Qualified;

* Ideally 2+ years' experience in a similar role producing accounts to review stage;

* Excellent IT skills and a confident user of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Excel is essential).
