Our client is one of the largest locally based housing organisations in the East Midlands. Across the region they manage over 9,000 homes; house more than 15,000 tenants; provide over 1,500 bed spaces for people with support/care needs, in over 250 properties; and provide more than 500,000 hours of care and support each year. They are recruiting a Cleaner to keep their beautiful residential Care Home in Linby pristine and spotless.

Sherwood House is a registered care home supporting 19 adults over the age of 65 and stands proudly among an array of beautiful gardens. Just 9 miles from Nottingham city centre, their site is easily accessible by bus (no.141) and is situated just off the main high street in Linby. They consider the daily cleanliness and hygiene of the home to be paramount to ensure they keep both residents and colleagues safe and well at all times and have implemented COVID secure measures.
This vacancy carries 18 hour per week on a rota basis to cover Maternity Leave for up to 12 months until approximately November 2021 or whenever the substantive post holder returns.
In their home from home environment, they are looking for a dedicated and friendly individual with high cleaning standards to join them on a part time and fixed term basis. Your duties will involve but are not limited to:

Cleaning designated areas to an agreed work schedule

Ensuring that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout each designated area

Maintaining supplies of consumables in toilets and kitchen areas

Completing and submitting a cleaning activities sheet on a daily basis

Launder/Ironing of residents clothing, bed linen and table linen

Repairing residents clothing, linen & soft furnishings as required

It is essential that you are able to work 18 hours per week from 8:00am – 2:00pm on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays – they will try to plan this advance where possible!
