We now have a vacancy for a Finance Officer to join our team at Head Office in Cambridge

Title – Finance Officer.

  • Salary – £22,000 - £25,000 (experience dependant).
  • Hours – Full time 40 hours per week.
  • Contract – Permanent.
  • Based – Cambridge (CB5).
  • Reporting to – Finance Manager.

The Role - The main duties will include.

  • Processing sales and purchases invoices
  • Credit control
  • Ensuring all financial records are kept up to date
  • Assisting with month end reconciliations
  • Assisting with preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Support monthly payroll process and solving payroll queries
  • Monitoring bank deposits of payments and assisting with bank reconciliations
  • Banking cheques

Skills, Experience and Qualifications.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • AAT qualification, completed Level 3 or above
  • 3 years’ experience in a finance officer role, or similar
  • Excellent multitasking, prioritising and time management skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present and explain financial information to other functional departments.
  • Be proactive and take ownership of tasks assigned to them
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Ability to liaise with customers and suppliers enquiries (excellent telephone and email communication manner)
  • Full working knowledge and experience of accounting software, preferably
  • Payroll experience (desirable not essential)
