We have an opportunity for a meticulous and organised individual to act as our emergency and security planning expert. You will be responsible for ensuring that all emergency response and security systems meet all legal requirements and adhere to legislation. With a strategic outlook, you will develop all high-level security plans and ensure a cohesive relationship between the Company and county fire and regional ambulance services. You will deliver training exercises based on all credible scenarios identified within the COMAH Report and ensure that COMAH regulations are stringently followed.  You will be methodical in your approach and will lead the Runcorn Site Emergency Services Department and site security teams, which includes the gatehouse security and weighbridge contracts, ensuring that the site induction process is followed and that all ID verification and card-key access is thoroughly maintained and managed. Conscientious and diligent, you will identify and drive improvements across all areas and will lead the development of up-to-date operating instructions and procedures for on-site injuries.

Educated to degree level or equivalent with a specialism to post-graduate standard in disaster management, emergency planning or security or qualified through extensive experience, you will demonstrate considerable experience within emergency management or security, ideally within a high hazard manufacturing environment. You will be a confident communicator, comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders, discussing issues and taking onboard any concerns that arise. You will be an ambassador for emergency and security techniques and strategies and you will ensure that you keep up to date on any changes to policies and procedures.

The role will suit a driven and dedicated team player, who has the ability to engage and communicate effectively with others, and can actively demonstrate self-sufficiency and strong personal integrity.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to cover all production sites, office locations and any other Company premises within the UK North West region, so a full driving licence is essential.
