The Whitechapel Centre and SHAP Ltd are Liverpool City Region based charities which provide support to people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and / or have support needs. In partnership with Liverpool City Council we provide a harm reduction service within a supported accommodation setting for up to 27 people who have a range of substance misuse, mental or physical health needs.  The aim of the service is to increase individuals' sense of confidence, independence and recovery and enable them to make positive changes in their lives.

Applications are now invited against the role of part time cook.

Energetic, and with a positive 'can do' attitude, your role will be to provide  a range of nutritious meals that will not only meet the particular dietary requirements of our residents but also increase the take up of meals prepared on site.

We're looking for someone who has a genuine interest in cooking who is passionate about delivering a quality service to our service users.  Ideally you will have a recognized catering qualification, a good understanding of basic dietary requirements eg diabetes, IBS and vegetarianism, and experience of working in a professional kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and safety prevail at all times.

Hours are 12.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday (30 hours per week).
