Elevation Office Support are currently recruiting for a Commercial Property Legal Assistant to work for a well established law firm on a full time basis based in Central Sheffield, to support and assistant Commercial Property Lawyers with a full and mixed commercial property caseload.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

* File creation; statement drafting and liaison with clients in respect of the same
* Generation of suitable client care correspondence
* Looking after the day-to-day administration of files
* Attendance on clients for routine instructions and signing
* Carrying out searches and dealing with enquires in relation to such searches
* Conducting routine simple completions
* Management of all associated post completion work
* Downloading official copies, documents and plans from the H M Land Registry Portal
* Carrying out priority and bankruptcy searches and other pre completion and online applications
* Collating title bundles, scanning deeds and saving them to the DMS
* Retrieving and storing deeds following the correct procedures on and off site
* Dealing with post completion registration and stamp duty land tax formalities
* Under supervision, preparing invoices, completion statements and statements of account and complete accounts documentation as and when directed by the Lawyer
* To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm's and clients' documentation and information

The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

* Strong working knowledge and understanding of Commercial Property or Residential Conveyancing (especially Land Registry processes)
* Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to conduct challenging conversations and an ability to build trust with Commercial Property Lawyers
* Commercial awareness and an eye for detail
* High standard of IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and time recording systems
* Excellent time management, organisational and client service skills
* Ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
* Highly motivated, proactive and outcome-orientated with a can-do attitude
