ENERGY CONSERVATION OFFICER - NORTH LONDON - 3 MONTHS
(6 MONTHS LIKELY) - GBP26.92 PER HOUR (INSIDE IR35)
We are recruiting for temporary cover for an Energy Conservation Officer post in a local authorities Energy Services Team. The team leads on high profile projects, drives the council's net zero carbon ambition, and delivers a number of services to other parts of the council.
Energy Conservation Officers have a range of duties, with the main responsibilities including:
- Visiting council buildings, housing estates with communal heating systems and schools to carry out monitoring and targeting audits, producing reports for premises manages on the energy use of their sites and recommendations to reduce consumption
- Providing written and verbal advice on energy-related matters to premises managers and other council departments
- Analysing energy-related datasets, including weather corrections
- Supporting and delivering energy efficiency projects across a range of building types
A DBS check is required to carry out visits to schools and children's centres. However, we are willing to take someone without a current DBS and will assign them to non-school/children centre sites until their DBS is completed.
The post is initially being advertised for three months, but may be extended to six.
