Project Support Administrator - Geotechnical - Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary negotiable: Dependant on experience and qualifications

Our client is a leading Civil Engineering Contractor and they are seeking a talented Project SupportAdministrator to manage and undertake operational administrative support work for their Geotechnical division. The post holder will be part of a small but busy team based out of their Newcastle office and who deliver geotechnical solutions to their customers on their projects across the UK.

Duties will include but not limited to:-

Providing Administrative support to the Geotechnical team both in the office and on project sites
Attending departmental meetings, taking minutes and circulating them to the team
Electronic document handling to Sharepoint
Creation of documents in WORD, PDF, EXCEL, OUTLOOK
Creation and tracking of Purchase Orders in MS NAV
Dealing directly with suppliers, supplier queries, deliveries to site, supplier set up
Supporting site crews and assisting with problem solving
Creation of Works Packages documents from Company templates for each project and ensuring the correct team members and customers receive them
Be the main record keeper for the Geotechnical team.

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate must be self-motivated and confident when working in a team. The person appointed will have and be expected to demonstrate the following:-

Preferably three years' experience working in an Administrative role. Preferably from a construction industry background but not essential
Intermediate level - MS Word, Excel, Outlook packages
Ideally will have experience of working in Sharepoint for document handling and MS NAV for purchase ordering.
Good and confident communicator with all stakeholders within the construction industry including, but not limited to, internal and external customers, site supervisors & crews.
