Hours: 30 Hours Per Week
Salary: GBP16,000 pro rata (FTE GBP20,000)

About the role:

We are currently looking to recruit a part time worker, with the intention to support the mobilisation of a Through The Gate mentoring service within the Devon, Dorset and Cornwall Region.

You will be dealing with a caseload of offenders who are being released from prison, and will be responsible for providing them with appropriate support to ensure a successful resettlement into the community. You will provide one to one casework, and drop-in sessions, this may include meeting the offender whilst still in custody to complete an action plan, meeting at the gate, accompanying to appointments and supported referrals.

About you:

You will need to build and maintain effective relationships with prisons, Community Rehabilitation Companies and community agencies, ensuring successful referral and feedback mechanisms are in place and providing timely and regular information to the Mentoring Coordinator with regards to targets, progress and issues.

Please be aware that this role is subject to prison clearance, an enhanced DBS and satisfactory references and we require that you have access to a vehicle.
