Based in the South Wales Trunk Road Agent’s Regional Office in Ynysforgan Motorway Maintenance Depot, Swansea.

Route Steward (Central and West)
Location: Central Area Office, Ynysforgan, Swansea – 1 post
Western Area Office, St. Clears – up to 3 posts
Permanent Contract: 37 Hours per Week
Salary: £27,041 - £30,451 plus On Call Duty Allowance
The role of the Route Steward is to implement and deliver the requirements of the policies and procedures of the Network Delivery Team in the implementation and annual delivery of a programme of Routine and Cyclic Maintenance via the agent’s service provider and framework contractors to ensure the asset is kept in a safe serviceable condition.
The Route Steward is also responsible for implementing and delivering the policies and procedures which monitor the operation of the network with regard to Routine and Cyclic Maintenance, making recommendations for works and improvements that will assist the Welsh Government in achieving safe and reliable journey times on the trunk road network.
The successful candidate will be required to have relevant experience in highway and cyclic maintenance on Motorway and Trunk Roads. Working outside normal working hours and participation in an Out of Hours Standby rota are an essential part of this post. A company vehicle will be provided.
You will need to possess a qualification in a Civil Engineering construction related discipline and hold a current valid driving licence.
