Our client has a worldwide presence of over 13.000 logistics specialists in more than 250 offices. We are currently recruiting for a Transcon Supervisor to join their busy and friendly team based in their modern offices based in Bristol.
The Role
Oversee the operational execution of Transcon department
Involvement in inbound and outbound operations teams, Distribution file processing.
Manage implementation and ensure compliance to SOPs for each client
Weekly meetings with the teams in order to review performance's (KPI's)
Understand the Transcon department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve
operational efficiency and productivity
Timely and accurate billing to vendors
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
Manage leads and maintain strong relationship with customers
Ensure productivity and profitability goals for the Transcon department are met
Provide necessary information to accounting to produce monthly Distribution client P&L
The Person
1-2 years background in Logistics, preferably "Road freight"
Ability to define, develop and document business processes and procedures.
Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to relate to customers at all levels.
Be a team player and have the ability to listen, comprehend and effectively communicate to obtain positive results.
Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PPP and Outlook)
Pro-active and strong organizational skill
