Well established manufacturing organisation, based in Walsall, requires a Manufacturing Systems Data Collector to join their ever expanding team. Offering excellent working conditions within a family owned business, this role is offered as a Temporary ongoing contract with immediate start available.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, as Manufacturing Systems Data Collector, the purpose of your role will be to collect and prepare data for the implementation of an updated computerised control system (MS Dynamics NAV).

Duties will include:

* Collect data on manufacturing parts, processes and materials

* Enter data on manufacturing parts, processes and materials to the MS Dynamics Nav system in accordance with defined processes

* Enter details of sales orders received and works orders required to meet demand requirements.

* Record completion of works orders, and ensure that consumption of parts and materials inventory is recorded correctly

* Prepare routine management reports to an agreed schedule.

* Support management and colleagues in projects to improve quality and efficiency in the Manufacturing Division.

* Demonstrate a commitment to quality, efficiency, safety and communication

* To ensure jobs are completed on time to the required quality, reporting any quality issues.

* Mentoring colleagues in effective use of the MS Dynamics NAV and other IT applications.

* Maintaining effective working relationships with all operators and management team.

As Manufacturing Systems Data Collector, you will require the following skills and attributes:

* GCSE pass in English and Mathematics, or an NVQ level 2 in a function appropriate to the role.

* Familiarity with the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

* Familiarity with the MSOffice applications, most importantly MSWord and MS Excel.

* Previous experience of having worked in a similar role

* Punctual and reliable

* Excellent eye for detail

* A commitment to quality and safety

* Effective communication skills

* Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of a team

* Positive attitude to completing tasks to a high quality

* Experience of using MS Dynamics Nav in a manufacturing environment

* An understanding of manufacturing processes and product costing.

* NVQ Level 3 in an IT or accounting function (desirable, not essential)

Hours of Work: Mon to Fri 8.00 am to 4.00 pm

Rate of Pay: GBP10.00 to GBP10.50 per hour dependent upon experience

Contract: Temporary ongoing (initial anticipated duration of 3 months, subject to extension)
