As the Quality Assurance Engineer you will lead the change which is happening in my client.
Having been recently acquired by a multi billion pound organisation my client is going through an exciting period of growth and change - now, to bring the quality systems in line with the rest of the group we are looking for a an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who can learn the group quality systems and successfully implement that system across the business.
The business is a high volume manufacturing company that supply their produt to the energy, defence, medical and other sectors.
Your duties will include:
an initial asessment on the quality system using the group assessment template
determine strengths, weaknesses and opportunities
understand the stakeholders roles and responsibilities and using excellent communication skills get production and other departments buy in to implement change
learn and then integrate the group's quality management system into the businessGeneral responsibilities:
manage quality throughout manufacting to meet customer requirements
be in charge of measurement system analysis and statistical process control for key processes
establish and follow procedure for control on non-conforming parts
handle all aspects of continuous improvments
initiate improvement proposals
Facilitate risk management
set quality goals and improvement plansYou will need:
a relevant degree qualification with a minimum of 5 years experience in a quality assurance engineer role
experience of a fast paced manufacturing environment prferably electro/mechanical
excellent communication skills - able to get all stakeholders engaged and bought in to change
experience of continuous improvement and a demonstrable case of implementing change within a companyIn return you will work for a company that although part of a billion pound group still has the feel of an independant business with a friendly team that has very low staff turnover.
