Homeless Action Resource Project

About Homeless Action Resource Project

We provide essential services and long term solutions to support local people taking steps to overcome homelessness. Homelessness is a diverse and complex issue, and many that are homeless remain hidden; sofa surfing, sleeping rough away from danger, or living between places as and when the opportunity arises.

We had over 11,000 visits to our Bradbury Day Centre in the year ended March 2017, where we help people who are either homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless.

We currently provide housing for up to 174 people that might otherwise be sleeping on the streets, all of whom have an action plan to help them manage and overcome the issues that might be surrounding their homelessness. At HARP, we have a tried and tested pathway to support people to move on to an independent life. We aim to provide tailored, innovative solutions for specific groups to get the best possible results and help as many people move on as possible.

HARP also offer ongoing one-to-one support and work closely with partner agencies to provide a 360 degree approach to improving health, wellbeing, and housing. This includes access to meals, health advice, counselling and peer support, access to clothing, washing facilities, a meaningful activities programme, and a listening ear for when the journey feels tough.
