3 Things Everyone Should Include on Their To-Do List

To do list

It doesn’t matter if you’re the most organised person in the world, or if your diary resembles an explosion of ink (hey, at least you have a diary!) - everyone should have a to-do list. A short, well-thought out list that will help you organise your time whilst also making you feel super grown up and important! Here are 3 things that everyone should include on their to-do list.

1. Dates

Including dates on your to-do list gives you a clear target on when you’d like to achieve your goal. Say you need to hold a meeting - writing ‘organise meeting’ on your to-do list doesn’t give you any real motivation to actually do it. If you write ‘organise meeting by Wednesday 8th,’ you have a clear goal to meet and a time period to do it in.

2. Targets

Targets focused on self-improvement are a great way to motivate oneself. It’s easier to achieve something if the success is measurable. Say you want to ‘go for a run,’ make yourself a clearer target: ‘go for a 2 mile run.’ Setting targets for yourself based on your previous successes will make you feel more satisfied when you achieve your goal as you can measure your improvement.

3. Order of Importance

It’s more than likely that certain ‘to-dos’ are more urgent than others. Don’t let the most important things get lost with the rest! Rank your to-do-list in order of urgency/importance and place the most pressing at the top of the list.
