We are seeking part time Front Office Assistants one to be based in Birmingham to join our Birmingham office. We are the UK’s biggest newspaper publisher, with over 150 newspaper brands, including titles such as The Coventry Telegraph, Coventry Times, Birmingham Post and Birmingham Metro, to book advertisements across all our titles and publications.

Do you have good customer service skills and the willingness to learn and develop?

The successful candidate will deal with incoming clients who present themselves at the Front of counter and will sell reader offer products, manage photographic sales and receive monies/payment from our customers. Therefore, you will have experience of dealing with customers face to face and be comfortable selling products as appropriate will be useful.

Other parts of the role will include handling financial transactions, both credit card and cash, ensuring records are maintained and security. Also, you will handle feedback and complaints taking corrective action where necessary.

The front office assistant will be measured on volume of sales achieved within each publication, accuracy of balancing transactions, speed and quality to customers and your aptitude and manner in which you deal with customers.

This is the ideal role for someone looking for a part time role within an exciting industry.

Our client is looking to recruit a Night Traffic Manager at their Head Office in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.

Hours of work are 2200Hrs - 0700Hrs. Monday to Friday (Saturday morning).

The Night Traffic Manager will report into the Senior Traffic Manager who works during the day. It will be the Night Traffic Manager's responsibility to run the entire Night Operation from a Traffic point during the night.

The role will require the Night Traffic Manager to coordinate all incoming and out-bound freight. They will be required to give instruction and direction to all Night Trunk Drivers from Head Office in Wolverhampton and the other 13 locations around the UK.

The role will also require the Night Traffic Manager to arrange cover in the event of absent drivers, allocate specific routes to employees, manage drivers as well as their own team throughout the night. They will be the secondary contact for recruitment agencies if agency drivers are used a last resort during the night.

The successful applicant will need to delegate routes to drivers and other tasks to staff such as scanning Proof of Delivery notes, administration etc.

Ideally, applicants will have experience in the Transport and Logistics Industry and will have worked in a similar type of role.

The successful applicant will be an approachable, amicable Manager who is used to working nights that has knowledge of the Working Time Directive and Drivers Hours and Industry Regulations.

The Night Traffic Manager may also be required to do all vehicle routing for a large number of runs.

This is a permanent position.
