We have a vacancy for a passionate and motivated Sales Manager for our Online Travel Agency.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of Sales Consultants to deliver a high standard of customer service and ensuring they are fully able to maximise sales from initial sales enquiries.

You will also be responsible for reviewing individual and team performance against key performance indicators and agreeing actions to positively impact on sales.

We are looking for someone who has previous experience of selling within the travel industry with a proven track record of consistent sales and high customer service feedback, together with experience of managing a team.

You will have a positive and results driven approach with confidence to manage others in a supportive and encouraging way, together with excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal with a wide range of people and situations.

Responsibilities:-

·Day to day management of a team of Sales Consultants, ensuring they are fully able to maximise sales from the initial sales enquiries

·Effectively manage the performance of individuals within the team

·Day to day management of the Trainer/Coach, ensuring they are aware of their key objectives and targets

·In conjunction with the Trainer/Coach, identify plans to increase individual Consultant’s performance, knowledge and skills to positively impact on sales, complaints, errors and staff turnover

·Collation of the KPI data. Communication and monitoring of individual KPI and team targets

·Organisation and forward planning of daily resources to meet anticipated workload

·Organising incentives and competitions

·Conducting monthly meetings with all Consultants to discuss individual and team performance and to agree objectives and targets for the ensuing month. Ensure all meetings are recorded

·Conducting annual Performance Appraisals with all Consultants

·Contribute to the weekly trading meetings chaired by the MD to support the Commercial Manager in identifying trends from both enquiries and booking data

·Support the recruitment, selection and retention of employees

·Support the Director in the ongoing development of the online travel agency

·Any other tasks as reasonably required and requested

·To maintain and monitor systems in line with IT Acceptable Use Policy

·To be a positive representative at all times

Essential Skills:-

·Experience of managing a sales team

·Previous experience of selling within the travel industrywith a proven track record of consistent sales and high customer service feedback

·Thorough knowledge of the travel industry; suppliers, travel products, their potential and position in the marketplace
