The Organisation

This company is an AIM-listed public company with a market capitalisation of approximately £150 million. The company is now seeking to recruit a finance manager for one of its fast-growing and successful subsidiary companies, based in Sussex.

The Finance Manager will report to the local Managing Director and the overall group's Financial Controller. He/she will be responsible for the entire internal finance function, interacting with the sales administration and manufacturing teams with regard to the financial aspects and implications of their roles.

The Role

The rapid growth of the company and its acquisition in recent years by a listed company has led to the requirement for a more senior finance capability within the business. The role requires the hands-on management of day-to-day accounting functions, combined with a strong input into the more strategic aspects of the development of the finance function and the business as a whole. The successful candidate will drive the finance function forward and shape its future role in the business to be more influential and value-added.

Role Development

With planned growth of 50% over the next 2-3 years, this role will develop both in scope and size, with the possibility of additional resource being added and further development of IT systems. The opportunity to become a significant member of the management team is there for the right candidate.

He/she will be both self motivated and a team player and previous experience in industry would be an advantage, as would strong Excel skills, knowledge of MRP systems (the company operates Sage 200) and payroll functions.

Salary is £35-£40k

The company operates a defined benefit pension scheme

Judges Scientific share incentive plan

Non contributory healthcare
