Our client is a well-established contract research organisation.

Because of business expansion, they are looking to recruit into their team in Ledbury. They have a range of vacancies in the laboratory where they are prepared to take people without previous experience.

The role involves collecting and processing tissue samples for further analysis. There are various techniques involved and our client has a training programme focussing on creating a multi-skilled team. You will therefore be rotating around different areas during your training programme.

You must have good standards of numeracy and literacy for this role. In addition, you need to have an interest in biology and be able to handle animal tissues, work delicately and operate a microscope effectively. All of the usual health and safety standards apply in the laboratory and in addition, you will be trained to work to the highest standards of good laboratory practice. Our client uses computers extensively in their work and expect familiarity with standard Microsoft Office programs.

They are looking for a Trainee Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) Auditor to join their Quality Assurance Team.

Key to assuring their quality standards is their team of highly trained auditors who are proficient in the planning, conduct and reporting of inspections and report audits. Our client has a well-established training programme for graduates which is hands on as well as offering professional qualifications and accreditation. Our client also performs studies using human volunteers and so there will be an opportunity to develop your understanding of Good Clinical Practice and the associated auditing skills.

You must be a graduate in a life science and you may already have some work experience in a laboratory environment.

It is essential that you have a keen eye for detail, are able to focus on your own work but also have the ability to support the team’s objectives, and that you have well developed communication skills.
