The Gas Design Engineer role involves managing the design through the project lifecycle to the highest quality and standards. Working as part of a team, they will expect you to work effectively and efficiently towards project timescales, whilst liaising with the asset owner, the customer and the sales team throughout the process.

They are looking for Gas Design Engineers who have the relevant experience to produce efficient designs for both the domestic and non-domestic sectors.In accordance with current legislation, regulations and IGEM standards, you should have considerable industry experience and the appropriate knowledge of the philosophy and principles relating to the design of distribution networks up to 7bar MOP. This will include experience in designing networks supplying multi-occupancy properties, domestic and non-domestic metering installations and pressure regulating installations.

To be considered for the role you should have:

- Incorporated Engineer status or be working towards attaining this.

- Minimum HNC / HND in an engineering discipline (or equivalent).

- Relevant experience of design and costing of gas infrastructure designs for domestic, including multi-occupancy properties and non-domestic projects.

- Experience of conducting site visits and meeting with customers at all levels.

- Knowledge of the CDM Regulations and N.R.S.W.A.

- Experience of specification, design, maintenance and construction of system plant and apparatus.

- Excellent customer management skills (internal and external).

- Excellent interpersonal skills and a team ethos.

Summary of role:

Our client is actively seeking Solar PV installers to join their expanding team of customer focused installers. The ideal candidate will be responsible to carry out installations on domestic properties. The successful candidate must possess an excellent customer service attitude and must be willing to go ‘The Extra Mile’ to ensure 100% customer satisfaction.

The Candidate

Solar PV Installer / Roofer Requirements:

• City & Guilds qualification in Solar PV installation or similar in roofing.
• Able to demonstrate that you have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of installing solar panels and be familiar with different roof mounting systems OR a minimum of 5 years residential and commercial roofing experience
• The ideal candidate must have working at heights qualifications
• You must be comfortable working from ladders, scaffold towers and scaffolds. (Harness/working at height trained) on domestic & commercial roofs
• Experience working with various tile types, including plain, slate & interlocking
• The candidate will be working in a team of 2 and is expected to be able to install a 4 kWp system in one day
Candidates Must:

• Have a full UK Driving License
• Have Fantastic customer relationship skills.
• Live in Leicester and be able to work across the Midlands

The Benefits

This is an employed position for:

Full time Solar PV installer or roofer (5 days a week) between £100 - £150/day depending on experience

Company vehicle and tools will be provided.
