This Transport Manager role reports to the General Manager - Transport. Accountabilities will include:

- Responsibility for the transport KPI performance at Corby.

- Day to day support to the traffic office team.

- Development of strong customer relationships

- Responsibility for organising and overseeing all health and safety checks and routine vehicle checks and adhering to both Company and Statutory requirements.

- Maintenance of all transport administrative records, regularly communicating with the General Manager - Transport to ensure a smooth & seamless operation.

- Monitoring of all transport legislation and procedures to ensure company compliance.

- Delivery of a best in class Transport service to both our customers and our internal operation

Transport Manager - Candidates for this position should have/be:

- A holder of Certificate of Professional Competence in national road haulage operations and also may be required to hold relevant qualifications in Transportation Management.

- Knowledge and understanding of all areas of transport logistics, budgets and financial controls, legislation and relevant fleet controls.

- Safety conscious with a full knowledge of the transport operations and maintenance.

- A high level of detail consciousness with regards to the vehicles and route planning.

- Able to efficiently work within a high volume transport operation.

- Excellent communication skills, ensuring you can communicate with all levels in a professional manner and are able to cultivate strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

- An ability to prioritise a demanding work load and seamlessly deliver on customer expectations.

The ability to analyse data, problem solve and amend plans where necessary.
