A highly self-motivated Business Development Manager, with strong telecommunications knowledge, is sought to join this organisation based in Gloucester. The company is a leading distributor of Network Access solutions, primarily selling to the Utilities, Defence and Service markets.

The organisation is an established company with a circa £2million turnover. They are now positioned for a second stage of growth and wish to appoint a Sales Manager who will be fundamental to that expansion. The company markets a wide range of PDH, SDH and IP based networking equipment and has just signed a new range of products providing capability up to STM64 and MPLS networks with a major international company. The Sales Manager will need to possess knowledge of PDH, SDH and IP based networking equipment due to the nature of the role.

The Business Development Manager will be expected to break into new areas; prime geographical areas will include the UK and ROI, with added opportunities in France and the Benelux countries. Because of this, French or German as a second language is desirable.

The ideal Business Development Manager will possess the following:
- Substantial Sales Manager experience, with a proven track record
- Technical knowledge of PDH, SDH and IP based networking equipment
- The ability to achieve and exceed targets
- A gregarious, motivated working attitude
- Experience of selling into the Utility and Defence sector would be advantageous
- An HND / Degree level qualification in Telecommunications or Electronics is desirable, as is French or German as a second language

The organisation enjoys a reputation for integrity and strong technical capability and the applicant will need to be a team player who can contribute in an open environment. They are looking for a candidate who can aggressively apply their technical knowledge in a multi-level sales environment.
