The Role Summary:

The Client Liaison Officer (CLO) will be required to register potential employees / sub contactors by telephone. The worker information will be provided by recruitment agencies and the CLO will be able to help them into correct status (after full training) and set the workers up through relevant solution. Being able to explain and understand the solutions is key to this role.

When registering workers we need to be able to discuss how our solutions work and produce illustrations of the payments the workers will receive based on the information they provide.

Working with current Excel spreadsheets we monitor registrations and liaise with the employment agency to keep them informed when the workers registration has been completed.

As the role progresses the CLO will start looking after agencies and will be responsible for raising invoices to agencies and also creating payments for workers. This is done using our payment system for which full training will be given.

Within the Head of Access to Homes Service as Gypsy & Traveller Liaison Officers you will work as part of the Homechoice team providing a liaison role to the gypsy and traveller communities.

You will also carry out the management of all the Council owned gypsy and traveller and residential caravan sites. You will work closely with colleagues in various organisations to ensure customers can access services.

You will need to be an excellent influencer and negotiator and have an understanding of working with diverse communities. You will also need strong communication skills.

Duties Include:

• Act as the Lead officer in the management of gypsy and traveller and residential sites and the main liaison role for the G&T community and other services
• Carry our regular inspection of all, council owned sites, to ensure compliance with appropriate conditions, legislation and safe operation. Also to work with the communities to keep to their agreements. This will help to create and maintain tidy, clean, safe and sustainable sites and communities
• Help to ensure good communication with the gypsy and traveller communities and local communities to foster good relations

Candidate Requirements:
For the Gypsy & Traveller Liaison Officer role you will need to be an excellent influencer and negotiator and have an understanding of working with diverse communities. You will also need strong communication skills.

The post holder should possess the following skills:
• Experience of working with diverse communities
• Experience of dealing with challenging customer behavior in a positive way.
• Ability to deal with customers with complex and diverse needs and circumstances, to build a rapport using empathy and with the ability to be assertive in challenging situations

We are looking for someone with an understanding of the gypsy and traveller communities and the challenges they face, and who has strong community engagement skills. You will also need to be aware of the legislation and guidance for caravan sites.

This position is based in Doncaster.

The Admissions Nurse is a newly created position which will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a comprehensive high quality and effective bed management service which works in close liaison with the dis-charge, placement, and social services teams of our customers. The role will also act as the first point of contact for elders and their families, and will support them through the admissions process by building trust and communicating in a clear and confident manner.

Working in conjunction with the Registered Manager and/or Clinical Lead, the Admissions Nurse will use a variety of clinical nursing tools to assess the individual health care needs of each person and advise on the most appropriate level of care. An in-depth knowledge of the referral process is required, alongside the ability to liaise on a daily basis with relevant stakeholders including the NHS, local authorities, and GPs.

The working hours for the role are envisaged to be predominately Monday-Friday during normal office hours, however applicants are advised that there may be times where the normal duties of the role mean that evening or weekend work may be required, or where the Admissions Nurse will be expected to support the operation of the home by providing cover on the floor.
